Gem from the Planet Mu back catalog. Though only 3 years old, the album is quite interesting and as it should. Barry Lynn is quite the talented fella, though most famous for his dubstep works as Boxcutter his self named IDM album is gold. Lots of nice, rich atmospheres, nicely worked drum patterns, lots of nice glitchy sounds and very enjoyable melodies. It's a shock that I overlooked it for so long since there is a lot to like here.

Released on the amazing Sublight lable (rip) Vorpal's Digressions was really a very good album, like most on the lable, forgotten in time. Much like the Gareth Clarke LP which is another favorite it was a very unique album which really should have been more popular than it was.
There were a lot of things I loved about this album, from the overall sound and mood of the album to even the album art (yeah I'm a sucker for fancy art) it really was just nice to listen to filled with nice glitchy idm tunes. It is a real shame that this wasn't as big as some of the other albums on the label (including vsnares and the flashbulb) but oh well, I guess us IDM fans have fun in finding these kinds of albums and just enojying them for what they were despite popularity.
A+++ stuff

Old album I know, but some people still have yet to hear it. For fans of dance music and what not, Star Guitar is a re-make of the Chemical Brothers song, it as well as Our Song were pretty big singles off the album. The whole thing though is a really catchy and enjoyable dance album everyone should check out if they are interested in the genre.

Amazing ambient/glitch album by Phonem. It's a very beautiful and peaceful glitcy album which you can really get lost in. Every song really is very well done and very laid back filled with glitcy beats backed by a very peaceful ambiance which you really do start to admire. Overall amazing album for any fans for Autechre and what not.

This is my all-time favourite electronic music album.
Bitrcush is solo project by Mike Cadoo (Dryft, ex-Gridlock) featuring a perfect blend between cold, electronic and warm, dreamy sounds. Those droning guitars, cold, glitchy drums and mellow vocals form a calm sphere, in which you can transcend your content state of mind. TRIPPY.

Great album I stumbled upon in my travels. Very peaceful, glitchy music which I usually wind up thinking through, it's just one of those albums which does that. Very atmospheric and enjoyable, yet doesn't wind up being boring and pretentious. Some have labeled it IDM but idk, kinda throwing it under a dumb title (Which is what IDM is these days) but if you like artists like Wisp check this out, since its similar in style (just with less breaks).

Surdr and Jiggly really put together a great split with this release, which was a surprising twist to hear from Surdr's previous works. It is a very unique sounding album that creates very nice ambiances, overlapped with glitchy percussion, relaxing melodies, and a slue of other influences which all combine into a great piece of work which shouldn't be missed.

94 Diskont is undoubtedly a standout in the field of electronically advanced, glitch-heavy music. In addition to having clear resonance with those primarily interested in process, this record resides in an autonomous and highly aesthetic sonic universe, where bits of production and granulated noise easily melt into warm, repetitive arrangements. 94 Diskont was made with a lot of productive mediation and gadgetry, but the seams don't show. The textures are thick and the melodies are challenging, nowhere more so than on the epic opening track "Do While." At 24 minutes, Oval take their time, but this is deep listening, and anything shorter just wouldn't do. A distant and fractured bell sound competes with a decaying, four-note organ swell for the majority of the song, while clicks and unidentified manipulations make their way in and out of the mix. Rhythm and melody emerge from unexpected places. What you initially take to be white noise settles into an odd but discernible pattern. The clicks between a skipping CD become an essential part of "Shop in Store." But perhaps even more impressive is when rhythm and melody barely emerge at all. The uncommon range of 94 Diskont is indeed one of its most powerful qualities.
