I'ma post one more album because I haven't been all that active this month.

So this is pretty much my current favorite album (aside from Ikonika's new album, but I won't upload that). Ed Rush and Optical are pretty much awesome. You know they are just by the fact the intro samples the City 17 speech from half life 2's intro and turns it into a really well done intro track.

But really it's some sick drum and bass, very dark, spacey, downright sick stuff. I should kick my own ass for waiting this long to really get into them. Again it is my current favorite album and has been playing non stop it seems, so if you like good dnb, get this shit.

(Also the album art is kinda laughable but I kinda like the vibe it gives off, reminds me of old amiga box art for some reason heh)

I'm starting to feel like an old hat when it comes to /mu/ these days, I go there and don't recognize anyone or anything being talked about. Looking back through the years when I used to be there every day I can't say I feel bad about being a stranger now. All I did was shit post and troll just to piss people off. Not very fond memories and I pretty much ignore any of the music I listened to then. Oh well, good then because most mainstream (ie indie) music sucks as do most of the new tripfags.

So here is some really good drum and bass, mixed by Chris Renegade and Spor. For those who don't know of Mr. Renegade, he is the founder of one of the best dnb labels out there today Lifted Music. And Spor is one of my favorite dnb producers/djs who has released quite a few ep's on Lifted (His new one is coming out soon, shit is siiiick) and is pretty damn awesome.

So it's a bunch of stuff showcasing Lifted's sounds/tracks and a bunch of other related artists. Shits good, I could care less if any /mu/tants don't like it. Their music taste sucks anyways (sup 1,000 radiohead plays). Also I think this was unreleased, uhm apparently discogs says it's from a magazine or something.

(Wait, didn't I already upload a Lifted EP here? Ehh yeah I think it was From The Inside Out, Levitate was on that. It actually is the intro to this mix. Beast track)

WHY HAVEN'T I LISTENED TO THIS BEFORE?! I'm never underestimating your recommendations again, /mu/! This album makes to my top 10 from 2009, without doubts!

OK, if you're new to The Protomen, lemme explain a few things. They are an american band that plays rock opera. About Megaman. That's how awesome they are. I mean, I'm not even a huge fan of Megaman, but HOLY FUCK, this CD is amazing. I can't find a good enough description, Act II has completely blown my mind. Musically speaking, think of epic. Epic, in every way possible.

If you think that would sound too nerdy and video-game OST alike, FORGET MEGAMAN AND FORGET ROCK OPERA. Just get this album. Here's proof of great The Protomen is. It's powerful, beautiful, good music and extremely well-produced.

"Les Discrets is a shoegaze, post-rock, experimental, acoustic project. It is the sole musical creation of Fursy Teyssier who also played in Amesoeurs and has created artwork for other bands including, Alcest, Amesoeurs, Arctic Plateau, Agalloch, Neun Welten, The American Dollar." Straight from last.fm.

Better than Alcest, imho. No black metal included, though. Also, I have no idea how to tag this. Ah, and the album cover is amazing.

The CNK - Ultraviolence Über Alles Übercharged Edition (2002) |

Tracklist:
1.
Political Police
2. Jim Beamed Ahnenerbe TV
3. L.K. Nosferat
4. Kommando '96
5. Apology
6. Get A Gun - Shoot At Random
7. Love Game Over
8. Bunkermoon Khaos 3
(Tracks 9-16 are stripped versions of the previous)

Count Nosferatu Kommando is an assault machine. It is violent, it shows no remorse. If you don't like it, it will most probably kill you. Count Nosferatu Kommando is hostile. CNK is a French, sort of electronical metal band. It is kind of hard to define their style, but it lands somewhere in the wide fields of death metal. However it lays in the outlands of death, in the borderland of electronical music, not far from industrial metal. But it's a remote area, where violence is a way of life and fear is compulsory. CNK is the sole ruler of that outback in music.

So let's take a closer look into that killer band. And killer is just the right word for it. In every single track of the album, you can feel the energy and hostility. It combines fast and rough-riffs with blasting drums hammering simultaneously. It's a furious onslaught of guitars and booming percussions. However it's not brutal in a "Panzer Division Marduk" way, but it's a disciplined and a well planned attack with a fearless pace. It is a tank with bloody tracks and a billion guns. It oscillates between fast rage and militaristic marches. Some parts remind me of Rammstein's "Das Modell", only this is much more powerful. CNK let's guitars and drums march together, amplifying each other. So if you need to recharge, play this album, and you'll be guaranteed to be hyperactive for the next 24 hours.
