Pretty interesting progressive rock album right there. IMHO, the only "problem" with new prog rock bands is the vocal. If you can't get used to it, you won't enjoy it. This one sounds pretty nice. It's like a Maynard from Tool meets Geddy Lee from Rush. Yeah, I know it's weird.

Some random dude at last.fm said "Blind Guardian meets Coheed & Cambria" about their music. I suppose that could be accurate. A bit. It reminds me of Porcupine Tree too. Anyway, it's nice, it's heavy when it should be, get it.

Eh, so this is my first time listening to them. Apparently they've changed a lot since the band started. Anyway, latest album is pretty nice. A bit heavier would be better, tho.

PS.: Fave song = The Earth Isn't Humming. Even though it's a cover. Great stuff.

Post-rock with piano and female vocalist. This girl's voice reminds me sometimes of Björk and Anneke, from The Gathering. Also, some of the songs are completely ambient, which is always good. Ah, and look at this cover! Beautiful!

There isn't an album that I own that is like this, it will haunt your mind and plague your ears with harsh noise, spastic break beats and ambient chaotic rhythms that seemingly flow amazingly together to craft the sounds of the apocalypse. It is simply mind blowing and really shows off the genius of these two artists.

Get this album or you will be missing out on a true masterpiece, words can simply not express how amazing this is. Even if you hate noise, you simply can't miss this album.

Found out about this at some blog thinking it was only post-rock with female vocals. It's not.

A bit heavier and "noiser". Great stuff! The last song is amazing, pretty groovy and DAT DISTORTION. <3

This one reminds me of GIAA, but heavier. One of my faves from this album is Mira Mama, which by the way is the only one with vocals. Great stuff.

Someone asked, so yeah, here it is. Fairly new Madlib album, and as it is a Madlib album, you can expect it to be a quality release. Since he does make damn good music, well enjoy.

Shadowcast Sun is a post-rock band which has a few metal elements. Get it you're into GIIA, Agalloch and such.

You can listen to all the songs for free here. Also, the first song is pretty post-rockish clichê so don't judge the whole thing from it. The Shiver is way better and on.

This is awesome. At first, I didn't like the vocals very much, but I got used to it. Also, movie dialogues during songs = win.

About the tags, I think the right one would be deathcore (even though they're nothing like Job For A Cowboy, IIRC), but it's really agressive, so, whatever..

Yet another leak. Pretty decent album. Not that I'm an expert on screamo or anything - it's honestly not really my thing - but I enjoy it. Some other day I'll post one screamo release I really like.

So yeah, and oldie but a goodie from µ-Ziq aka Mike Paradinas. If you don't know who he is, that is a shame, for those who do and don't have this, that is a shame. He makes some great music, and his label Planet Mu is home for some of the best idm/breakcore acts out there. This album is nothing but pleasing, the only track I have a problem with is The Motorbike Track, which is great, but somewhat disturbs the natural flow of the album.

Either way, get it, this is top tier stuff if you ask me.
