What do you guys want to see posted?

For the better part of this blog's lifespan, most of us here have just posted whatever we found that we liked and wanted to share with others, hence the sharethread name, which in and of itself is an allusion to those forum threads where everyone got together and shared their current favorites with everyone else, a great way to discover new tunes. However, while we at sharethread are all having a great time sharing our favorite music of the moment with you guys, I was wondering if everyone who came here had vested interest in the types of music we were sharing.

So, I made this post to ask everyone who came here: what genres of music are your favorites? What would you like to see more or less of? What would you like to see here in the future? And also, what are some things you would like us to change about the ways the blog is set up?

Any other questions or comments are cool by us, and I will personally answer any we get.

So, tell us what you think! (You don't have to make an account to comment, so feel free to post to your heart's content.)

I personally don't like all that drum & bass, idm stuff and prefer post-rock, trip-hop, indie, shoegaze chillin' stuff. Kind of like the other guy. Instrumental PR is starring to all sound the same to me though... On the other hand I love to be surprised by this site and visit it all the time to make sure I'm up to date. top

    I really like this blog!

I love the IDM and drum n bass stuff, as I'm mostly an electronic kinda guy. Also would love to see hip-hop, post-rock, shoegaze, trip-hop, all that good stuff.

Not really a fan of metal or "math rock," so I guess would like to not see as much of that. top

Personally think it would be great to see more math rock posted though. top

I like Trip-hop, post-rock, ambient, instrumental, and -some- IDM. I'm okay with experimental and indie stuff too, as long as it has some rhythm to it and doesn't sound like shit. Though, so far, I must say you guys have done a nice job :) top

    Anything unique, really.

Emancipator has been my favorite discovery here, so I'd love to see more of that as well. I'm not really into all the DnB or bling bloops, but they're fine with me (what else could P! post? ^^). Oh, and the good indie and post-rock. top

Some more variety in posts would be good, however, it's always nice to see "if you liked this last week, then this is even better".

The nice wide selection of interesting and less well known stuff is what keeps me coming back. top

I love the whole electronic, experimental, indie, ambient, post-rock thing you have going on. Some of the IDM and drum & bass I dislike (some are great too), but I've found so many great artists on here it's ridiculous to complain about! This is my favorite blog because you guys post lesser known albums that are sometimes truly stunning.

It could use some more jazz, funk, acoustic, or jam, but I am pretty happy with how you guys run the place. I listen to a lot of different styles of music so anything is truly welcome.

oh yeah, I'm not very into math rock or some of those other metal bands you guys have posted before. top

    I want some Punk bands.
This blog is very saturated and post-rock is a style that easily seasick, even with so many bands like that. But congratulations on your blog, spreading underground bands. top

More trip/jazz-hop. maybe some kenchiro nishihara or some michita. post-rocks good but theres so much of it at times the site feels like a tribute to post-rock.
also more instrumental music with pianos.
DnB posts are also great! top

FFS check out Spirit of the Sun by Kyoto Jazz Massive. Any such hard-to-find genres like true electronic+jazz scratches my musical inclinations very, VERY well.

I think in the last time the drum n bass and "hard sound" have the best space in this blog, it's not my favourite sound but I know that yours choices are not commercial and that are much "open taste", that's good!!!!
I prefer IDM, minimal (techno and not techno and trip-hop.

You should really invest in some pop, more upbeat music and colorful stuff. When I come through here, it's all post-rock and ambient.
That's nice for the first bit, but it gets boring after a while. Post some pop. top
