What do you guys want to see posted?
For the better part of this blog's lifespan, most of us here have just posted whatever we found that we liked and wanted to share with others, hence the sharethread name, which in and of itself is an allusion to those forum threads where everyone got together and shared their current favorites with everyone else, a great way to discover new tunes. However, while we at sharethread are all having a great time sharing our favorite music of the moment with you guys, I was wondering if everyone who came here had vested interest in the types of music we were sharing.
So, I made this post to ask everyone who came here: what genres of music are your favorites? What would you like to see more or less of? What would you like to see here in the future? And also, what are some things you would like us to change about the ways the blog is set up?
Any other questions or comments are cool by us, and I will personally answer any we get.
So, tell us what you think! (You don't have to make an account to comment, so feel free to post to your heart's content.)

More trip-hop like Emancipator. That stuff is chill. top
July 10, 2010 at 3:02 PM
I personally don't like all that drum & bass, idm stuff and prefer post-rock, trip-hop, indie, shoegaze chillin' stuff. Kind of like the other guy. Instrumental PR is starring to all sound the same to me though... On the other hand I love to be surprised by this site and visit it all the time to make sure I'm up to date. top
July 10, 2010 at 3:17 PM
I would like to see some more experimental / indie / post rock / and ambient. i'm also down with the shoegaze. top
July 10, 2010 at 3:18 PM
Don't know how much hip hop you guys like, but I'd like to see some of the weirder lesser known stuff posted top
July 10, 2010 at 3:32 PM
First of all, thanks for the aw3some Blog guyZ!!!
One of your greatest posts was Karate, since then, i was in love in Karate, yes!
Basically i would like you, to post more of the Slowcore/Jazz/Piano stuff like Karate/Goldfish Quartet, or like this : http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=M4xy-wxc1Y0 .
Personally i dont like Postrock/Metal/Hipp. top
July 10, 2010 at 3:53 PM
I really like this blog!
I love the IDM and drum n bass stuff, as I'm mostly an electronic kinda guy. Also would love to see hip-hop, post-rock, shoegaze, trip-hop, all that good stuff.
Not really a fan of metal or "math rock," so I guess would like to not see as much of that. top
July 10, 2010 at 7:25 PM
post rock, piano stuff, and ambient top
July 10, 2010 at 8:09 PM
What I love is post-rock and 'post-metal' (gay genre name). Also love trip-hop.
Personally think it would be great to see more math rock posted though. top

The stuff you guys have been posting is why I sub'd to your RSS. Just keep up the good work. top
July 10, 2010 at 10:48 PM
More dubstep (i.e. Burial and Distance kind of sound)....please. top
July 11, 2010 at 12:05 AM
I like Trip-hop, post-rock, ambient, instrumental, and -some- IDM. I'm okay with experimental and indie stuff too, as long as it has some rhythm to it and doesn't sound like shit. Though, so far, I must say you guys have done a nice job :) top
July 11, 2010 at 1:13 AM
I'd love more hardcore, I'm loving the post rock as well top
July 11, 2010 at 4:16 AM
Anything unique, really.
Emancipator has been my favorite discovery here, so I'd love to see more of that as well. I'm not really into all the DnB or bling bloops, but they're fine with me (what else could P! post? ^^). Oh, and the good indie and post-rock. top
July 11, 2010 at 5:32 AM
Perhaps more things on the experimental end of music. Kayo Dot, Blonde Redhead, etc. I do love the loads of post rock and shoegaze stuff. I fucking love this blog. top
July 11, 2010 at 9:27 AM
All that post rock stuff sounds all the same.
More experimental/idm stuff would be loved. top
July 11, 2010 at 12:43 PM
Some more variety in posts would be good, however, it's always nice to see "if you liked this last week, then this is even better".
The nice wide selection of interesting and less well known stuff is what keeps me coming back. top
July 11, 2010 at 1:30 PM
My favourite albums downloaded from here have been haruka nakamura, millionyoung, dyad 1909 and i tend to like the stuff P! posts top
July 11, 2010 at 3:10 PM
I can't even begin to express how grateful I am for this blog introducing me to Day Without Dawn/ The Postman Syndrome. So, I guess I'd like to see more similar bands, although I've actually liked pretty much everything you've posted so far. top
July 11, 2010 at 3:23 PM
This is an amazing blog! The only thing I don't like is the 8-bit music stuff...that stuff is kinda wack. Everything else is always awesome!! I love hearing new stuff, so keep it coming!! Very much appreciated!! top
July 11, 2010 at 5:59 PM
first off, thanks for all you've done up to this point. i will echo the requests for a steady influx of trip-hop, dubstep, etc. top

guys,
thanks for your blog!
it'd be nice to see more downtempo/nujazz/lounge things in addition to those great PR albums you're posting.
thanks again! top

I love the whole electronic, experimental, indie, ambient, post-rock thing you have going on. Some of the IDM and drum & bass I dislike (some are great too), but I've found so many great artists on here it's ridiculous to complain about! This is my favorite blog because you guys post lesser known albums that are sometimes truly stunning.
It could use some more jazz, funk, acoustic, or jam, but I am pretty happy with how you guys run the place. I listen to a lot of different styles of music so anything is truly welcome.
oh yeah, I'm not very into math rock or some of those other metal bands you guys have posted before. top
July 12, 2010 at 6:49 PM
I'm here for the metal / math / post-rock / hardcore, but check out most of the rest just because you post it here.
Carry on with what you've been doing! top
July 12, 2010 at 8:54 PM
I want some Punk bands.
This blog is very saturated and post-rock is a style that easily seasick, even with so many bands like that. But congratulations on your blog, spreading underground bands. top
July 12, 2010 at 9:25 PM
My personal extremes: I love your selection of post-rock. And I also enjoy any random indie/folk. You can throw in some math-rock too. top
July 12, 2010 at 11:34 PM
Christ that's a lot of comments
More of the same, honestly. I fall in love with almost everything this blog posts. I wouldn't be upset if this blog stayed this way for another couple years~

More trip/jazz-hop. maybe some kenchiro nishihara or some michita. post-rocks good but theres so much of it at times the site feels like a tribute to post-rock.
also more instrumental music with pianos.
DnB posts are also great! top
July 13, 2010 at 8:47 AM
Definitely trip-hop (Emancipator) and stuff like Olafur Arnalds especially Dyad 1909. Thanks for all the music you guys have posted thus far. top

Love your work, guys.
Pretty much everything you post is great, but I'm always left wanting a bit more ambient/atmospheric/spacey stuff. top
July 13, 2010 at 5:26 PM
I originally came to this blog listening to mostly post-rock, shoegaze, and the sludgey post-metal stuff. Now Im finding myself listening to a lot of electronic stuff. Some more jazzy stuff would be cool. top
July 13, 2010 at 10:38 PM
FFS check out Spirit of the Sun by Kyoto Jazz Massive. Any such hard-to-find genres like true electronic+jazz scratches my musical inclinations very, VERY well.
also, cassius was epic. pick that sh** up! WHOO top
July 14, 2010 at 2:17 AM
I come here for the trip-hop, ambient, and post-rock stuff. top
July 14, 2010 at 10:03 AM
The post-rock posted on here is generally pretty godly. There have even been ambient gems. top
July 14, 2010 at 6:33 PM
Firstly, I want to say thank you guys for being such a good source of new music for me =D
I'm not really into the post-rock/metal/DnB stuff here; I frequent this site mostly for the electronic/downtempo mellow stuff. top

I think in the last time the drum n bass and "hard sound" have the best space in this blog, it's not my favourite sound but I know that yours choices are not commercial and that are much "open taste", that's good!!!!
I prefer IDM, minimal (techno and not techno and trip-hop.
BYEBYE top
July 16, 2010 at 9:02 PM
You should really invest in some pop, more upbeat music and colorful stuff. When I come through here, it's all post-rock and ambient.
That's nice for the first bit, but it gets boring after a while. Post some pop. top
July 19, 2010 at 5:42 AM
anything slow and epic. maybe variance into harder material, but soft is always good. top
July 19, 2010 at 9:29 PM
I'm ok with obscure pop music, chiptune... maybe some nu-cumbia? top
August 4, 2010 at 9:17 PM
